Аннотация

The article discussed two of the core neuropsychological deficits of impulsivity and their neuropathology as manifested in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. The first deficit involves deficient reward processing insensitivity which is caused by dysfunctional subcortical structures which are functionally connected to frontal brain areas. The second deficit involves deficient behavioral inhibition and is caused by dysfunctional prefrontal cortical structures and their connections with other brain regions.
