Abstract

This study investigated the effect that a training in accountability measures had on school counselors’ beliefs about accountability measures.  The researcher surveyed 100 school counselors in a southeastern county of the United States.  The survey looked at their professional practices in regard to using data, knowledge of accountability measures, and comfort level in analyzing data.  The results showed a significant positive improvement in all survey items with the exception of one.  Implications for school counselors are included.
